The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
The inspiration for this painting came from a large weathered wooden crate I discovered while walking. It was filled with huge black plastic cylinders on an apple orchard in North Carolina. I had no clue what they were for, but I loved the texture of the cylinders and ruggedness contrasting against the delicate new green stalks growing up around the crate. The cylinders seemed so out of place in the midst of this lovely soft landscape.

In my paintings I attempt to bring to the viewer the emotional response I have to the people, landscape or setting I am capturing in paint and hope to inspire the viewer to be drawn to them as I am.
